What we did

We built the platform that puts structure on it. Drivers publish a route, a departure time and the seats they have free; passengers search by origin, destination and date, then book directly. Profiles and trip history give both sides something to judge before getting into a car with a stranger — the part a comment thread cannot provide.

Result

Live at ride-project.vercel.app. Shipped: route publishing, seat booking, search by origin, destination and date, accounts with trip history, and a mobile-first interface — the whole flow happens on a phone, often minutes before departure.

Context

Intercity travel in Tunisia runs on louages, informal Facebook groups and luck. A student heading home for the weekend posts in a group, hopes a driver answers, and negotiates in the comments. The demand is constant, weekly, and completely unstructured.
